In 2010, Vancouver, Canada will host the world's greatest sporting event. For 17 days in February, the people of the Province of British Columbia will provide a warm welcome to over 5,500 athletes and officials and the thousands of spectators who will journey to Vancouver for the Games. You can be one of the fortunate individuals to be present at this sporting event if you begin your adeventure now.

The Games' sites will stretch from the city of Richmond, just south of Vancouver, through the city center and north of the alpine resort of Whistler. Vancouver will host curling, figure skating, ice hockey and
short track speed skating. Richmond will host the event of speed skating. Cypress Mountain, located in West Vancouver, will host snowboarding and freestyle skiing events.

Ceremonies will be held in BC Stadium in Vancouver city center. Whistler, considered to be one of North America's premier alpine destinations, will play host to Alpine and Nordic skiing, ski jumping, bobsleigh, luge and skeleton events.
